Maria Elena Dawson

Maria is survived by her mother, Racarda; her brother, Joey; her sisters, Veronica and Cynthia; and her two children, James and Gabby. She now rests in peace alongside her Lord, her father, Richard, and her brother, Ricky.

Maria was known as a devout follower of the Lord and the San Francisco 49ers. She was also an avid animal lover who frequently took in stray neighborhood cats and invited them into her home.

Though Maria faced severe medical challenges throughout her life—struggling with chronic pain that made even getting out of bed difficult in her later years, she never let her circumstances dim her light. Through every hardship, she managed to maintain a bright smile and a sharp sense of humor that kept everyone around her laughing.

Maria’s life was a journey of ups and downs, pain and happiness. Though she is no longer with us, her incredible resilience, her joyful laugh, and her dedication to her faith (and her Niners) remain an enduring inspiration to all who loved her.
