Keith Wilder was loved and will be missed. He was co-founder of the music group "Heatwave," which he led the group along with his brother Johnny Wilder. Formed in 1975, their lineup featured a group of United States servicemen stationed in Germany, and became the first true international dance group, with members from the United States, England, Czechoslovakia and Spain. The band went through various personnel changes and finally settled in England as a septet featuring the Wilder brothers and keyboardist/songwriter Rod Temperton. Heatwave recorded their first album, "Too Hot to Handle," in 1976. After two moderately successful cuts from the album, the lead single, "Boogie Nights," was issued and became an international #1 hit and one of the definitive songs of the disco era. They followed up with a memorable ballad, "Always and Forever," which is one of the most popular wedding songs of the last three decades. Other recordings include "Mind Blowing Decision," "The Groove Line," "Ain't No Half Steppin'," and many more. Heatwave broke up in the late 1980s but re-formed with some old and some new members in the early 1990s and toured regularly.
