David was a unique individual who deeply loved his family and friends. He was a gregarious person and often the center of attention in a room where everyone could feel his presence or be affected by him in some way, shape or form. Family gatherings often started with the question, “when will David be here,” followed by a sense of elation when he did arrive. A multi-faceted young man, he could easily shift between being a philosopher, comedian, dreamer or political debater. He drew people into conversations ranging from current events to talking about a favorite show or video game to discussing ideas on how we could solve some of the world’s biggest issues. We often left these conversations with a new perspective as a result of David’s insights.

Despite his larger than life personality, David had an introspective and spiritual side, where he would clear his head by skateboarding, hiking, or going for long drives. During those times is where he would lay out his plans for the future, which is similar to what we all strive for in life….love, family, career and stability. His goals included moving back to the Midwest to be closer to family and friends, buying his first home, continuing to excel in his career as an Audio Visual engineer and eventually meeting that special person and starting a family of his own. There are so many more dreams that likely he never shared with any of us; and, we're sure he would have made sure that those dreams materialized. We confidently know that David did not want to leave us.

David loved us and will continue to love us. We miss him dearly, especially his incredible hugs. We are proud of the man that David had become and all that he had accomplished through his own self determination and hard work. When the time comes for us to depart this world, we know David will be greeting us with one of his big hugs again.
