Obituary:
Mr. Ballor, 75 passed away Thursday December 10, 2015 at McLaren Bay following a brief illness. He was born in Linwood on June 15, 1940 to the late Elda & Eva. He married the former Marsha on June 6, 1959 at St. Anne Catholic Church, she survives him. Don was retired from the Bay County Sheriff Department after 20 years of service. He was a life-long resident of the Linwood community and a lifetime member of the Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Campus. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors until his health prevented him from going out. He also, loved his trips to the casino when able, but most of all he loved his family, especially his four grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Marsha of 56 years and sons Timothy, Troy & Janet and Todd & Cynthia; 4 grandchildren Austin, Alanna, Mikayla and Trent; one sister Karen and a sister-in-law Roberta & Kenneth. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Mary Ann, mother and father-in-law Marshall & Edna and a nephew Douglas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday December 14, 2015 at 11:30 am at Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Campus with T.J. Fleming & Deacon Michael Arnold presiding with burial in St. Anne Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm. A Vigil Service will be held Sunday at 7 pm. On Monday Don will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am until time of mass.

When Don was older, he would like to put his car on cruise and see how many miles he could go before he had to take the cruise off

~Don Always helped his family by babysitting (playing with the grandkids), taking the grandkids on tractor and golf cart rides, hunting, playing and fussing over his kids family pets, listening and talking on the phone, making porch decor, and even going to the Upper Peninsula to get his daughter in law
