Jose E Ortiz was born 10/24/43 to Maria Vasquez & Catalino Ortiz in Barranquitas, PR. He graduated from Luis Munoz Rivera High School in Barranquitas,PR in 1963. He enlisted in the US Army from 1965 to 1967 and partook in the Vietnam War while in the military. Upon returning, he eventually met his wife- Felicita Rivera in 1968 and stay married until his death. He had two kids- Jose Reinaldo Ortiz born- 1/6/69 in Rio Piedras, PR and Marisol Ortiz- born-1/19/70 in Chicago, Illinois. They lived in Chicago for 4yrs, then moved to Philadelphia, pa from 1973 to 8/1997. They decided to fulfill his dream of building house in Barranquitas, PR and moved there from August 1997 until his death 8/13/2016. He enjoyed playing the guitar, guiro, woodworking, loved having animals, Spanish food, sightseeing in Puerto Rico and listening to old classic Puerto Rican music. He is greatly missed by his family.
