Happy Memories

I only spent a few of my teen years in Nevs company, but I'll never forget those happy days. Nev was such a true gent. Never a bad word to say and always keeping the spirits up. I remember him and Chris knocking to my door after school on the weekdays and just standing outside the house for hours messing and chatting. Our group would spend endless days at the fishing lakes, rambling around the village, taking trips to Aaron's house or the beach and having such a laugh together. I was lucky enough to be Nevs date to the debs. He bought me a beautiful corsage to match my dress and treated me like a princess the whole night, always making sure I was ok. His memory will live on through all the amazing stories people will have to share about him. Gone but never forgotten. Will love you forever and always Nev xx

Eileen NevinHi Cheryl. I remember the day he asked you to the debs. You came into my house and my mam and dad were there. I said to Stephen shes a lovely girl. You should ask her to your debs and he said "I already did mam". He was chuffed with himself. He loved all of you soo much and we miss him soo much always xx

A True Friend

My time spent with Nev were the happest times of my youth. He was kind, funny, protective, friendly, supportive and there when you needed him. I'm very lucky to have gotten to spend my teenage years with Nev and share so many life experiences. Beach trips, road trips when we would fight over who got to sit in the front of the green snot ha, trips to Aaron's house, getting our first tatoos together, debs celebrations, club corkagh nights, fishing .....ohh the list goes on and on. Nev was the glue within our group and things were never the same when he left we were all heartbroken but we hold onto the memories we have and which we are lucky to have. He was a gentleman and to this day he crosses my mind everyday. A little trigger will bring me right back to a moment we shared and it always puts a smile on my face. I know he is still with us all everyday, rooting for us because that was who he was, He will always keep a spot in my heart ❤️ he left a legacy which will never extinguish because he gave us all these good times and memories to keep his flame burning in our hearts no matter how many years pass.

Never forgotten

Best friends growing up. Missed by all the lads terribly. Nev was like a big brother to me. Looked after us in school and out. I was always the baby of the group so Nev used to sort me out with i.d's to get me in for a pint with the lads. He was always there to bring the group together for every occasion and is sorely missed to this day. We used to slag him for being a bum but as soon as he had a few quid after he started working he paid everything back with interested. Still to this day called by the nickname he gave me by all my closest friends. Gone but never forgotten, Bobby

My brother

Connected by blood, cousins on paper but brothers and best friends in reality. The most genuine kind hearted and loyal person I’ve ever met in my life. Not a day or hour goes by that I don’t think about Ste. Ste’s absence is deeply felt, yet your memory remains a guiding light in my life and the entire Murray family. I remember the laughter we shared as kids growing up, the trouble we’d get into in blackwater, the hundreds of hours we played sega, PlayStation and Xbox together, and the countless adventures that defined our friendship that helped shaped my life. I fondly remember you robbing my cigarettes so you could top up your own box! :) Stephens kindness, strength, and genuine spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was not just a friend but a source of inspiration, I didn’t realise it at the time but Ste always seen the best in everyone and everything, for that I wish I could only be the same. The world still seems like a quieter without your laughter that I can still remember to this day and the void you left is irreplaceable. I recently got married and knew you’d of been beside me on the day. Even though you couldn’t be there physically I know you were with me throughout the day and watch over Aine and I everyday. Your impact on my life has been immeasurable, and I am grateful for the time we had together. Though Ste is no longer physically present, his spirit lives on in the echoes of shared stories, the lessons you taught us and the strength you give all of your family every single day. Especially your parents and Lisa who I know you are so proud of. I miss you deeply, but myself and the whole Murray family carry your love with us always. Until we meet again, my best friend and brother. With love and everlasting memories, YNWA Rich x

Best Friend

Nev ( as I will always call him ) was my best friend growing up . From playing power ranger and wrestlers in his front garden , football on the road , fishing up the lakes , growing older and having our first beers together , he was always around for " the 1st " of everything we did . He was , simply put , an immense personality , tonnes of laughter to be around , and a gentle giant to everyone who knew him . For all the amazing times we had together , they cannot be replaced , he touched our lives in a way nobody can ever come close to. He will never be forgotten for the joy he brought each and every day to us all & for this I'm forever grateful to have had him in my life . Chris

Big cousin Ste ❤️

Ste was my big cousin, and a great big cousin at that. From the memories I have with Ste growing up in our Nanny and Pop’s house they were all amazing. No doubt there was always a Liverpool game on the tv he was there. Ste lit up any room he walked into with his smile. Ste is remembered everyday and always in our thoughts. Lots of love, your baby cousin Rachy xxx

Ste’s Art

Ste was a talented artist. Not everyone knows this because he would never be the type to brag.

Anfield

Mam, Dad and Lisa visiting Anfield in honour of Ste’s memory. Chelsea hammered us but it was the best day - the liverpool fans were singing and dancing and so full of happiness anyway, I can see why he loved it so much. Pic below is Dad’s touching tribute to Ste in the matchday programme

Funny story

One time I was sticking my head out my bedroom window having a smoke, looked over to see Ste’s head sticking out of the next window having a smoke. He rolled his eyes at me and looked away 😂 we both pretended we didn’t see eachother so neither of us would get in trouble 😂
