My Father
I am blessed. I may not have everything money can buy, but I do have what I need. I learned this mainly from my dad. Who taught me how to be a man. How to think for myself and to always show respect. That's what I'm here to talk about. The respect I have for my dad, and the gratitude I feel for him as a father. loving me and teaching valuable lessons , that will stay with me forever. That's what I cherish above all. My name is Bradley Allen English, I'm 26 and I'm here to tell a story about my dad. The strength he carried as a true tattoo artist. Jamie Lee English passed away in May of 2022. Unfortunately, he had health issues related to his enlarged heart, and throughout the years it progressed until he was too tired to carry on. When I was around 10 he had a heart attack and his illness was confirmed. At this point in his life he has been a full fledged professional tattoo artist for 10 years already. His dream was to always be one. Since a child all he ever did was draw, his dad helped him get materials that they couldn't afford and when he got old enough he sought out an apprenticeship and skin art gallery. The rest is history, and that's the history I'm here to uncover. You see, my memories of a kid was school, football, and kickin it up at the shop with my pops. I learned the culture, atmosphere, and cool attitude of tattoo shops and their wild cool artists. ( which I’m very thankful for, because that style, atmosphere, and type of environment is rare these days) I have many stories, like one about being at Red Hot , where dad worked under one of his long-time friends chili. To the end he was a brother to my dad. I know there are many of y'all who can claim such a title. Many people who knew my dad since a kid, and remained loyal, real and always showed dad the respect I know he deserved. To all the people that I knew as a kid or have worked with my dad, definitely get in touch with me and we can talk all about the man you knew, and how much fun you had with him! All the stories of him helping you out of a bad situation. How he was just a ride or die throughout a challenging time in your life. A time that made you laugh uncontrollably , because my dad always said the most outlandish real, and hilarious things. His laugh made a mad dog smile! I think that's what I'll miss the most. He was a great man, with a big heart and I want to honor him the right way by telling his story. Much love , Bradley Boy
