Miss you dad.
First Christmas without you. I love you
Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.
Jerry "Smurf" was born on July 19, 1965 in Pearisburg, VA.
Dad always enjoyed cutting wood and would always drag his sons and brothers along with him. There are so many memories that they have with him cutting wood, it would take days to tell them all. He also loved going to flea markets and collecting cast iron. Dad, myself and the boys have many memories of going to different locations to buy his cast iron that he had found online, at a flea market or a yardsale. There was nothing better than seeing his face light up when he found what he was looking for. As many people also know, Dad was a loving father but also the most loving grandfather. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his grand babies. You would find dad taking Addison and Kinsley to the parks and to go get ice cream, he would go to see Bryson, Brody, Dawson, and Nolan at their house every chance he got and went to see their sports games when he could, he would come over to spend the night so he could see Aubrey, Easton and Annie and they would play and get into trouble until he went home. What some people may not know about him is that is was an amazing baker. Dad could make the best cakes and sweets. He was always finding new recipes and trying them out. Some of my best memories with dad is baking with him. He loved his sweet foods and coke-a-cola. Dad taught me and the boys many things over the years, but the most important thing that was taught was how to love and love unconditionally. My dad was a great man and will be missed by everyone that knew him. Until we meet again Dad, rest easy. The boys and I love you.
