Ana Kathlea Shermer

Ana Kathlea was born to Logan and Rebecca Shermer at Kearney Regional Medical Center on 12/11/2018 at 12:57pm. She was 5.5 lbs and 18.5 inches long. She passed away at 1:15am the next morning surrounded by her loving family. Ana passed away from a disease called anencephaly. Her head and brain were just not able to fully develop. Ana was not able to donate her organs but was able to donate her plasma to science in order to help find a better understanding and a cure for the disease that took her precious life. This was a planned passing as Ana was diagnosed with anencephaly the previous July. Ana was very blessed on her one day that she got to live on this earth. She had an amazing doctor and the best nurses to care for her. She loved being held and kissed by her family. She was a very beautiful baby with an even more beautiful soul. She is greatly missed.
