Life story

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Socorro Guerrero, loving grandmother and mother of seven children, passed away at the age of 65.

Socorro Guerrero, also known as Suki, age 65 of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico, presently living in Phoenix, Arizona passed away Wednesday morning on August 24, 2022. Suki was very hardworking and enjoyed being in the hospitality industry. Although she was retired before passing, that didn’t stop her from always being busy and helping out her family any way that she could. She was a phenomenal cook and was always happy to cook fresh meals for her family. That is of course, with a Coca Cola in her hand and Juan Gabriel playing in the background. She enjoyed nature and being around plants, which is also why she tried to have a green thumb. Her favorite past time was going to the casino and spending quality time with her loved ones.

She was the life of the party. The party would not start until she walked through the door and had everyone instantly laughing. She was hilarious and found enjoyment in poking fun of everyone whether you were a stranger or a friend. She was fearless and strong. And I mean mentally and physically. She was able to beat her daughters in arm wrestling. Did I mention with an injured arm? All toughness aside, she was very caring, loving, and selfless. She was an amazing mother of seven kids and fourteen grandchildren. She passed before she could meet the youngest but was overjoyed and anxious to meet her. She was the mother everyone hopes to have. She only ever wanted to live for her kids. Her kids were her light and the loves of her life.

Suki was great at everything she did which meant no task was ever too hard for her.

With her laugh being loud and contagious, you couldn’t help but join her. Her dream was to have her own house big enough for all her loved ones to visit her.

One of her favorite foods was hot wings and she loved to snack on popcorn.

She liked sitting outside and drinking coffee while observing the moon. The rain was her favorite and she would always open the windows to enjoy the smell.

Suki was one of a kind, beautiful human being. Anyone who got to meet her and enjoy her presence is so lucky. She is what all of us strive to be.

Socorro Guerrero unexpectedly passed away during what was suppose to be a simple leg surgery that became complicated. She is missed everyday and her children and family remember her and talk about her any chance they get. She will forever live in our hearts.

To our mother:

You were our safe place. We couldn’t go a day without visiting you and now we must learn to live without you. The world stopped when we lost you and it is slowly starting up again. You’re absence is strongly felt everyday, especially when we are all together. But, if it wasn’t for you raising us to be best friends, we would not have each other the way we do. Our family is the greatest thing we have and it’s all thanks to you. We will go on and we will live a life worth telling about. So when we see you again, we can tell you all about it.
