Tinetta Lakira Smith
Tinetta Lakira Smith was born in Macon, GA on April 20, 1993 to the parentage of Reginald & Janis Smith Sr. Tinetta attended the Wilkinson County school system, finishing as an Honor Graduate of the Class of 2011. At an early age, Tinetta joined Jordan Stream Baptist and was an active member of the Jordan Stream Anointed Angels Dance Ministry. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Political Science at Clayton State University in 2017. After graduating, she spent her final years as an Educator and Coach at Wilkinson County Middle School where she served in the following positions: 6th grade Social Studies teacher, 8th grade Social Studies teacher, 8th Grade Team Chairperson, Social Studies Dept Chairperson, Head Coach of the Girls C-Team Basketball and Softball Teams and Assistant Coach of the Wilkinson County Girls Varsity Basketball Team.
Peace came to Ty early Saturday morning, October 21, 2023 at Atrium Health Heart Center in Macon, Ga. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dorothy Means and Willie Mae Shinholster as well as her God Mother Annie Brookins.
Tinetta leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents, Reginald and Janis Smith Sr of Irwinton, GA; 2 sisters, Chandra Shinholster of Warner Robins, GA, Connie(Dennis) Peaton of Baltimore, MD; 3 brothers, Reginald Smith Jr, Marcus Smith, and Montel Smith all of Irwinton, GA; her grandfather, James Shinholster of Irwinton, GA; 4 aunts, Phyllis Whipple of McDonough, GA, Michelle(Bobby)
Hightower of Milledgeville, GA, Sherry Means of San Francisco, Ca and Karen Wheatley of Baltimore, MD; 5 Uncles, Kenneth(Kathy) Shinholster of Locust Grove, GA, Ronald Shinholster and Michael Whipple, both of Irwinton, GA, Richard Means Sr. and Carroll(Dora) Smith Jr. both of Baltimore, MD; 2

Shinholster of Irwinton, GA and Eddie Johnson of East Point, GA. She also leaves behind a dear friend, Xavier Whipple, of McIntyre, GA. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, students and players who loved her dearly.
