Bran Detroit Tolhurst
Bran was truly a one of kind person. In his 9 years on earth, he did more for others than a lot of people do in their lifetimes. Bran was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 3 but never let it break his spirit or slow him down. He lit up a room with his kindness, compassion and an amazing laugh. He was always thinking of other kids in his same position and how he could make them feel better. He always wanted to donate to others in need, collect toys for kids in the hospital and spread kindness everywhere he went. He was a leader in his school recognized for compassion and perseverance. In his last few months, he created marble art and sold it on instagram. The proceeds went to pediatric cancer organizations that helped him along the way. He was an incredible son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, artist and friend. After he died, he has inspired an art supply collection every year around his birthday and also a tie dye beanie donation event at the Detroit Dye House. He continues to inspire his friends and family to keep his compassionate and giving spirit alive.
