Life story

Nathan was born in Louisville, KY on March 23, 2005. He was the oldest child to Brian & Kathryn Wimsatt and has a sister Natalie.

He attended Carter Traditional Elementary School in Louisville before moving to Spencer County in 2014. Nathan then attended Spencer County Elementary, Middle, and High School. Growing up, he played all sports but by High School he narrowed his sports to soccer and tennis.

Nathan was outgoing, type A personality. You always would know when he walked into a room as he didn’t know the meaning of “inside voice”. His laugh-clap combination was legendary. Nathan had a large friend group, yet he was able to have a personal relationship with each one.

Nathan enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was able to juggle his school life, work life, and social life. He was a car enthusiast and liked to drive the backroads of Spencer County. He, his father, and his uncles spent a year and a half building his dream truck-1989 Jeep Comanche. He loved to watch the movie Cars and Mater was his favorite character. He also was an outdoorsman, who liked fishing and riding ATVs.

He planned on attending University of Kentucky and his goal was to be a pharmacist.

Nathan lived life to the fullest, and he was able to pack so much into every day. Nathan ran ahead to heaven on April 29,2023 from a tragic single vehicle accident. He is missed beyond measure.

In Nathan’s honor, his family established a scholarship fund-Nathan Lane Wimsatt Scholarship Fund. Click the dot icon next to the share button to donate.
