

Franklin D Williams
Franklin D. Williams, known to friends and family as Frank, was a man who valued honesty and family above all else. Born into humble beginnings, Frank started work at an early age, often laboring for room and board. He supported himself and his family by working the harvests and washing dishes at the local café. His close bond with his father, with whom he developed a lifelong passion for fishing, was a cornerstone of his life. Frank was known for his entertaining and vivid fish stories, which were always a hit with family and friends.
Frank's life took a significant turn when he met Peggy while driving down the 101 in Southern California. Captivated by her, he followed her to Lawson, Missouri, where they were married on May 17, 1956. Their union was blessed with two children and three grandchildren, who were the light of their lives.
Frank served his country with distinction in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and in Indochina. In Indochina, he was involved with Operation Passage to Freedom, working alongside Dr. Tom Dooley to evacuate refugees. After his military service, Frank utilized the GI Bill to attend Technical School in Kansas City, where he trained to be a licensed Electrician and Refrigeration Specialist. Later in life, he used the GI Bill again to obtain his private and commercial pilot’s licenses, following his passion for aviation.
In pursuit of his career, Frank traveled to Saudi Arabia to work as an Electrician Refrigeration Specialist. His dedication and expertise quickly earned him a managerial position in Facilities Maintenance for Saudi Arabian Airlines. By 1976, Frank had combined his skills and passion, transitioning to flying for Saudi Arabian Airlines Special Flight Services, where he had numerous adventures and the opportunity to experience different cultures around the world.
After retiring, Frank and Peggy embraced the RV lifestyle, traveling across the United States and making friends everywhere they went. To Frank, there was no such thing as a stranger, and his warm, friendly nature endeared him to everyone he met.
Franklin D. Williams lived a rich, full life characterized by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family. His legacy of honesty, love, and adventure continues to inspire all who knew him.
