Life story
Phillip was a great man that was known to all as "Papa Phil." He never knew a stranger and was loved by all that knew him. He served our country by joining the Air Force after graduating High School. After his service he worked for the Centel Telephone Company for 37 years of which he retired from. He loved to fish, hunt, raise gardens, wood working, and piddle with metal and wire scrap. Pop loved all sports just about, but his favorite was Baseball. Pop loved his family especially his Great Grandkids. He had a special connection with his Great Grandson Brian "Wayne" and his Great Granddaughter Brianna. He would grow a big garden every year, more than him and grandma could eat so he would just go around and give away the extra fruits and veggies to the family, neighbors, and the staffing at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Phil was a talker, he could get lost in conversation for hours with friends and family. He would help anyone that needed it. He will forever be missed by all that knew him.
Happy Father’s Day pop. We all Love you and miss you. This pic of you was you being boat captain for us in OBX. We are actually leaving today to go to OBX for vacation this yr. Since we don’t have you have to captain the boat this time I got us a Jeep Wrangler to drive out on beaches and see wild horses. I could use a little of watching over while we drive on beach so I don’t get us stuck lol. Love you pop and Happy Father’s Day and I know you’re a captain a boat in heaven
Oh Papa Phil, how you are missed by so many but most of all by your wife June, I hear her talking to you each night before going to bed. She loves and misses you so much. Also your son Brandon Snoddy. He doesn't like to show it but he tears up from time to time when your name is brought up. And let's not forget Brian Wayne. Oh how that young misses his Papa Phil. You will always be thought of and missed each day. We loved you while you were on earth and we continue to love you while your in heaven.. we will see you again soon
I miss you, and love you pop. I wouldn't be the man I am today if it wasn't for you. Thankyou for being there for me. Even though you were my Grandpa, I have always looked at you as me being your third Son. Thankyou for being the father figure I needed while also providing the Fun and Memories any Grandchild would get from there Grandpa. Also want to thank you for giving my kids Brian and Brianna all the great memories they have with you.
