Ileane Norton Jackson
“Daddy Sang Bass, Mama Sang Tenor”
Ileane was born in Shelley, Idaho on January 24, 1934 and was delivered by her grandmother. She and her oldest sister, Carol later added 'e' to the end of their names when they were in high school, because they thought it looked fancier. So they became Ileane and Carole from then on. She married Virgil Jackson on July 22, 1953 in Idaho Falls LDS Temple and had 7 children together. It was tricky for us to try and count all the grandkids (several bonus grands came into the family through marriage over the years), and the great-grandkids... we just now say they've arrived in abundance. Haha! Mama loved her family more than everything, and we all felt important to her, right on down to the last great-grandbaby she ever held, which I'm pretty sure was Milo Alexander Meza-- she held him just before she went to the Assisted Living that day and then COVID hit! I'm still upset about that and being ripped off of our last year with her. But life is life and it is good! Check out her obituary link above for more detailed information. <3
