Life story

Karen Lepianka, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Karen was born on June 20, 1947, to the late Rudolph and Lorraine (Wielgus) Herzog, and married Ronald Lepianka on June 8, 1968 in Coleman, Wis. Karen graduated UW Green Bay, worked and coordinated entertainment at the Terrace Room, and continued her career as a social worker for Brown County since 1980. Karen posessed an unforgetable spirit and warm smile that would light up a room. She made everything fun with her unmatched creativity, and not only danced to her own music, but brought others onto the dance floor with her. Dedicating her life to giving, Karen was truly selfless, and had a unique ability to make all those around her feel incredibly special. Nothing made Karen happier than to spend time with her grandchildren, travel the world, and share a laugh with friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Robert Lepianka, Suzzan (Edward) Bowden, Marshah (Jason) Everard, Alizzabeth Lepianka and Danny Lehrbaum; grandchildren, Taylor, Samuell and Joseff Bowden, AnnSophie and Ayden Everard; mother-in-law, Laverne (Russell) Winter; brothers and sisters, Donald (Edith) Herzog, David Herzog and Patricia, Dennis (Maureen "Rabbit") Herzog, Gerald (Chrissy) Herzog, Jeffrey (Laurie) Herzog, Nadine Hogan; in-laws, Joan (Kent) Casper, Jean (Doyle) Bland; nieces, nephews, and dear friends, and her special friend, Patchezze (puppy).

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Loraine and Rudy Herzog and father-in-law, Theodore Lepianka.
