Cody
Missing you today and everyday. Love you Cody.
Live life full throttle
Cody was confident, intellectual, a smooth talker, a bit high strung with a free spirit. He had a genuine love of insults, mischief, adventure, music, gaming, guns, fishing, and anything with a motor. His adventures started early. I recall him loosing one of his first teeth in our field because he flipped his four wheeler and we had to leave a note for the tooth fairy explaining his accident. When he was too little to hold a controller he would sit in his dad’s lap and play Xbox. If you ever witnessed Cody play with an Xbox controller you may have noticed how he held it, upside down operating the joystick with the palm of his hand because his hands were too small but he never changed his positioning and his gameplay was amazing. As he aged he tapped into PC gameplay and developed a community of friends that were like family to him. Some were local friends and others lived in different countries all over the world. They all witnessed the crazy, fun, loud mouth, smack talking, witty guy that he grew to be. Cody also had a love and dedication to weight lifting. He worked and dedicated many hours in the gym pushing to grow his mind and body. I bet you have witnessed a few progress pictures. He was proud of his accomplishments. Cody shared too much information about things you really didn’t want to know, then he would laugh that contagious laugh. He loved to make me blush with some of his stories. He was also a confidant and keeper of your secretes. He was a true friend to many and gave good life advice. He didn’t always take his own advice. He was always the loudest in the room. Cody had a beautiful smile and if you were lucky enough to experience one, he gave the best hugs. His life was short but packed full of good friends and lots of adventures. Cody was eager to share all of his accomplishments, shortfalls, harebrained schemes, and stories. We were lucky to have been part of his life. I ask each of you when you read this to share a story, a memory, a picture or anything about his life. His memory lives on through us. If you would like to share something you will need to register using an email and then you can upload photos, audio, and videos. Thank you to each and every one of you who make an effort to keep his memory alive.
