Life story

Anthony Reynoso was born with a light in him that people noticed right away. He had a way of making others feel seen—whether through a smile, a joke, or simply being present when someone needed him. Growing up in Hartford, Anthony was known not just as a son and brother, but as a friend to many.

He had dreams, big ones, and he carried himself with determination. Anthony believed in possibility. He often said, “Think possible, stay possible,” a phrase that showed how he lived—with hope, courage, and the belief that even the hardest days could hold something good.

At home, Anthony was more than the oldest sibling—he was a role model. For his younger brother Yoel, who was only five when Anthony passed, he was already a superhero. Anthony had a way of protecting him, guiding him with patience and love, and showing him what it meant to be kind and strong.

Though Anthony never had the chance to meet his youngest brother, Izael, his spirit still reaches him. Izael grows up hearing stories of Anthony—the laughter he brought into every room, the strength he showed even in the face of struggle, and the love he left behind. In many ways, Izael is learning about his big brother through the memories their family carries, through the lessons Anthony lived out in his short time here.

On August 4, 2021, at just sixteen years old, Anthony’s journey on earth came to a close at Connecticut Children’s Hospital. Yet, while his physical presence left, his legacy never did. His family continues to carry him, not just in grief but in gratitude—for the years they shared, for the way he shaped them, and for the reminder that love never ends.

Anthony’s name lives on in stories, in the laughter of his brothers, in the strength of his mother and father, and in every red memory that makes hearts think of him. Though he is missed beyond words, he remains a guiding force—proof that even a short life can leave an endless mark.

Anthony Reynoso is remembered not just as a boy who passed too soon, but as a young man who lived with love, hope, and the courage to always “think possible, stay possible.”

Grief doesn't disappear—it changes.

Some people say it gets easier with time, but for me, it hasn't. I miss my best friend more than words can ever express. As the years go by, the silence grows louder, and the moments I wish I could share with you only become more meaningful. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you, miss your smile, or wish I could hear your voice one more time.I love you, Anthony. I miss you every single day, and I always will. Until we meet again, you'll forever be my best friend. 💙🕊️ #TeamAnthony #ForeverInMyHeart

Happy 21st Birthday 🎂

Happy 21st Birthday, Anthony. ❤️🎈 Today we should have been celebrating your 21st birthday. We should have been singing "Happy Birthday," watching you blow out your candles, laughing together, and making new memories. Instead, we celebrate you from heaven, holding on to the love and memories you left behind. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you. I often wonder what kind of young man you would have become, what dreams you would be chasing, and what this chapter of your life would have looked like. Cancer may have taken you from us at just 16 years old, but it will never take away the love you gave us or the impact you made on so many lives. Happy 21st Birthday, my handsome boy. We love you beyond words, we miss you every single day, and we will celebrate you today, tomorrow, and always. Forever 16. Forever loved. Forever my son. ❤️🕊️🎂 #Happy21stBirthday #Forever16 #TeamAnthony #ThinkPossibleStayPossible

I promise

I promise you, Anthony… I will make sure Izael knows you. He will know your name, your smile, and the love you carried. He will grow up hearing your stories, your jokes, and the way you lit up every room. I promise to speak of you often— not just in tears, but in laughter, in memories, in moments that keep you alive in our hearts. He will know that you are his big brother, his angel, his forever protector. I promise he will feel your presence in everything we do, and understand how deeply loved you are—always. You will never be forgotten. Not by me… and not by him. ❤️

My Anthony

Another moment, another year, and my heart still carries you with me in everything I do. I look at this picture and all I see is love — the kind you gave, the kind that still lives inside us. I wish I could hug you, hear your laugh, feel your presence beside me. But even from heaven, I know you’re close. You will forever be my son, my light, my strength. I promise to keep your memory alive with love, laughter, and kindness — just the way you lived. I hope you’re smiling up there, watching us, guiding us like you always do. I love you beyond this world, Dude Think Positive, Stay Positive — forever #TeamAnthony ❤️

✨ My Three Boys ✨

Anthony, my angel in heaven 💫 — forever watching over us with his smile and his love. His strength and courage will always guide us. ❤️ Yoel, my heart on earth 🏈 — growing into such a strong, caring big brother. He carries Anthony’s light with him and shows it in every hug, every smile, and every moment of love. And little Izael, my newest blessing 👶🏽 — the baby Anthony never got to meet, but who carries his spirit forward. He is joy, hope, and a reminder that love always multiplies. Together, they are my everything — one in heaven and two here in my arms. 🌹 Forever my boys. Always my heart. ❤️❤️❤️

Letter to my cousin

Only God knows how much I miss you. I don’t really share my feelings with anyone, but deep down it eats me up every day noticing you’re not here. You’re truly one of the biggest reasons I push so hard in everything I do. Your little brothers remind me of you so much—Yoel is all grown up now and acts just like you, and Izael is the sweetest little baby you could ever meet. I love you so much, kid. It’s your world, and I’m just living in it.❤️

We love you Anthony ♥️

🌹 4 years & 1 month over 35,793.765 hrs 🌹 Anthony, not a day goes by that I don’t feel your presence. Though time moves forward, my heart still pauses in those moments when I think of you. Your strength, your smile, and your words — “Think possible, stay possible” — continue to guide me, Dad, Yoel, and even little Izael, who never got to meet you but carries you in his story. Grief doesn’t get lighter, but love grows deeper. Today, like every day, I honor you. Forever my son, forever my angel. ❤️ #ThinkPossibleStayPossible #ForeverAnthony #AlwaysInMyHeart #TeamAnthony #CancerSucks

A letter to my Son

My sweet Anthony, There are no words that could ever truly capture what you mean to me — but I will try, because you deserve every word and more. From the moment I first held you, I knew I was holding something extraordinary. You had a strength in you that defied your small body — a kind of light that never dimmed, even in the darkest days. For ten long years, you fought a battle no child should ever have to fight. And through every hospital visit, every hard moment, you taught me something new about courage. You were never just “sick,” Anthony — you were brave, funny, thoughtful, stubborn in the best way, and wise beyond your years. You faced brain cancer with a quiet fierceness, and you still found ways to smile, to laugh, and to love fully. You reminded me daily that life is not measured in time, but in the love we give and the joy we share. And your words… “Think possible, stay possible.” They’ve become my compass. On the days when grief feels too heavy, I hear your voice in those words. They help me breathe again. They help me believe again. I miss everything about you — your voice, your hugs, the way you lit up a room just by being in it. But I carry you with me in everything I do. You are still my reason, my why, my forever boy. I promise you this: I will keep your memory alive. I will live with the same courage you showed me. And I will always, always believe in the possible — just like you did. I love you beyond words. I always will. Love, DUDE

This is for Anthony

Anthony, it's been three years since you peacefully went to paradise, and I miss you so much. If you were still here today, we could've gone on cool adventures and enjoyed the good time. The entire class of 2023 and the staff from Classical Magnet School will always remember you and ensure the legacy lives on. Rest in power, my friend.
