Cynthia Marie Gorham
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Our beloved Cynthia Marie Gorham ascended to Heaven on March 1, 2023. Fitting for the commencement of Women’s History Month, she transitioned at the tender age of 56.
Cynthia was born in Staten Island, New York to the late Jesse Mae Taylor and the late Lorenzo “Big Baby” Gorham.
Well known as “Cynna,” she would love to be remembered with funny, silly or even extravagant anecdotes that celebrate what was an important, good and blessed life. She personified the meaning of love and as she so eloquently declared, “To know me is to love me.”
She is survived by her daughter, Zakaila Cimone, her brothers Mark Parker, Titus Parker, Joel Parker and Lorenzo "Justice" Gorham and a conglomerate of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren Santina Brown and JaNiya Cunningham, and a host of many friends.
Cynthia’s parents, sister Linda Brown, and brothers David Parker and Charlie Parker, are now her guides in the spiritual realm.
Cynthia touched many lives and will be missed by everyone.
Sleep in heavenly peace, beautiful Queen.
Lovingly,
The Family
