Life story

Argie, one of four girls, was born to David and Hazel Jones in 1933 in Halls, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney and her sisters, Anita Jane Jones and Annette Weir. Argie is survived by her daughter, Kim Denise, her son, Brent Alan, chosen sister Patricia Salmons, sister Imogene Frye and two grandchildren, Sydney and Kimberly Batson. She was an avid and knowledgeable gardener, longtime horticulture club member, bowler, singer, interior design enthusiast, baker, and community style icon whose larger-than-life laughter, commanding presence, and magnanimous hospitality filled each room her diminutive frame graced. She enjoyed a long life brimming with valuable friendships, travel, adventure and the love of an adoring family, including several beloved pets.

Her absence will be felt deeply.
