Halcomb served in the armed forces. We honor that service here.

Life story

Halcomb Stephen Hacker was with us on Earth for 82 years. He was a son, brother, dog and horse lover, a husband, father, Papaw, and friend. He was a soldier, surveyor, and single action shooter.

Most importantly Hal lived his life as a devout Christian, and that brought him and his family much peace and comfort at his passing.

PSALM 73:26

My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever.

LUKE 23:43

Truly I say to you today, you will be with ME (God) in paradise.

Thank you God for the Legacy our beloved Halcomb leaves in death, for the ways the world and our lives were made different by Hal’s presence. Thank you for the memories that become both more beautiful and painful on this side of death, and God, we pray that the work you accomplished through Hal’s remarkable life will grow deeper, wider, and stronger in days to come.
