Life story

Nanette was born on July 18, 1961 to George Elvin Christensen and Anna Faye Gittins in Bountiful, Utah. She had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She married her high school sweetheart Eric Wallace Olney August 1, 1980.

There is so much I could say about my mom I don't know where to start. My mother was always and still is my hero. She was beautiful, funny, hardworking, crafty, loyal, and above all very loving. Not a day went by that I didn't hear my mom say I love you. My mom was always sewing, quilting, cooking or laying out in the sun with her favorite book. She used to sit in trees in the backyard of her childhood home to read books. Her favorite were Nancy Drew, Charlie Brown and Archie. I still have some of her books. My mom always was sewing in her sewing room. She made 1000's of blankets for baby's and little children that she donated to Primary Children's Hospital and Shriner's Children's Hospital. She would always say every baby needs a blanket. Some of my friends children have some of her blankets she made. They wouldn't leave without mom giving them one. I have so many memories of camping when I was younger. Mom would always make sure all the kids have snacks and things to do. Everyone would be out on the boats fishing, skiing, etc and I would sometimes stay back with mom. She would have a chair in the water, eating sunflower seeds and reading her book. Every once in awhile she would get out to fix lunch or dinner and make sure I had sunscreen on. She would also wake up everyone in the camp ground to start the motor home in the morning just to vacuum the floor. She was always cleaning. I learned so much from my mom. While working with her I was in awe of her work ethic. Everyone loved my mother. She would come up to my desk around lunch time and said "are you done working on that?" I would say yes and she would say "lets go" I never asked questions when my mom said lets go.....we would leave and go shopping or meet a friend of hers for lunch. Those are the memories I miss the most. The one on one with her. She loved music. She would be out gardening and put the speakers on the porch as they would blast music. She loved Heart, Jethro Tull, Hal Ketchum, Alanis Morrisate, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Stevie Nicks, and the list goes on and on. Mom sorry I couldn't make this bio better but you were such an amazing mom to me, I wish I didn't take out time together for granted. I miss her so much everyday. We have been lost without you. I love you your Angel
