In his words from his bio for his senior Joel Rodriguez
English
My name is Joel Rodriguez I’m 17 and I live in bay shore NY with my mom, sister, and older brother. My dad lives in Medford with my 2 younger brothers Cameron and Dom. And my grandma also lives with me. I transferred to brentwood when I was a freshman from pat-med high school. I’m now a senior.
One thing I love is boxing. I’ve been doin it for almost 3 years and I’m fighting in the golden gloves this year. I train everyday after work or school for hours because I eventually want to be a professional fighter. You can’t be a good fighter without putting in the work. Even on the days I don’t feel like going to the gym to run I still do it.
I work at jersey mikes the sandwich spot. I also do other stuff there like sweep , mop, prep, and clean. Everyone I work with is friendly and I had no issues there so far. My managers name is Fred, he’s been helping me lately since I’m still new showing me how everything’s done. At jersey mikes one of the biggest things they want is for you to keep a conversation going with customers.
I’m a very lazy person when it’s comes to school. And for the most part I don’t like school at all. I’ve just never liked it ever since I was little. A class I do like sometimes would be gym. I liked when we played basketball because I’m good at it and I love winning.
In 15 years I would like to be successful by then and have started my own family. I know I’ll have fought professional by then but hopefully I’ll have had a good record so I can look back and be proud. I also want to travel a lot and explore.
