In loving memory of
Rose Luna
Rosie S. Luna was born to Florentino Lopez and Maria Sanchez on November 21, 1939, in Hanford, California. While she was a student at Hanford High School, she met Richard Luna, a boy who knew he was going to marry her as soon as he saw her. Their puppy love turned to everlasting love as they married on February 7, 1959. Rose was a devoted mother to her sons Rick, Ray, and Rudy. Throughout the 80s and 90s, she became a grandmother to Brandon, Derrick, Raylene, and Andrew. Rose, with her immeasurable love and support, was undoubtedly meant to be a grandma. In the 2000s, the family grew, and she gained five more grandsons, Max, Joey, Vicente, Andres, and Aaron, as well as another granddaughter, Arielle. She eventually became a great-grandma to 14 amazing kids.
Rose was an amazing cook, an avid reader, a jewelry maker, a soap opera lover, and a karaoke enthusiast who people loved to hear sing Patsy Cline. She loved watching her family play baseball or softball and rooting them on. She bled blue and designated Justin Turner as her boyfriend. She dedicated decades to the Baldwin Park Unified School District and its schools. She was proud of the work she did and the people she met throughout her time there.
