Life story
At 3 months old, Ava was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 1). Although her illness stopped her from doing most of the things little girls are able to do, Ava lived a happy and joy-filled life. Through the boundless love and care only her mother could give, Ava not only received love but was able to share it back to everyone she met. She loved her daily walks with her mom, her IPad, and her special stuffed character, "Mr. Bee", who journeyed along with Ava, through her good days and journeyed along with her on the worst days.
