Anna Elva Flores-Gomez

Anna Elva Gomez was born on February 11, 1941, in Edinburg, Texas and went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, July 16, 2020 at 7:35 p.m. in her hometown at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, at the age of 79.
She is preceded in death by her paternal granparents, Marcos and Marcela Flores+ and her maternal granparents, Transito and Lucinda Olivarez+, her parents Francisco "Panchito" and Teodora Flores+, her brother, Francisco "Frank" Flores Jr.+, her nephews, Horacio Adrian Sanchez+ & Romeo Valadez, Jr.+ and niece, Debra Ann Guzman+.
She is survived and honored by her aunt Ninfa Flores, her uncle Manuel "Meme" Flores Jr.; her sisters: Maria Dalia Flores, Evangelina Flores, Gracie Flores, Emmadelia "Emma" (Abel Valadez), Marcela "Yoli" (Art Lampe), Lillian (Horacio Sanchez); her brothers: Arnoldo Flores, Alfonso (Ofelia) Flores, David (Lucy) Flores, Juan "Johnny" (Mary) Flores, Joel (Norma) Flores, and Erasmo (Letty) Flores; her 4 children with Juan Antonio Gomez+ : Ana "Annie" (Jose "Joe" Sepulveda), Diana (Guadalupe "Lupe" Padron); her son, Juan Antonio Jr."Johnny" (Noelia) Gomez, and youngest, Maria "Pina" (Ricardo Morales); her 16 grandchildren: Erica (Roberto Garza Jr), Yovann (Jorge Salinas), Jose "JR" Sepulveda Jr. (Angie), Francisco Javier Morales Jr. (Katie), Brandy (Ricardo Salinas), Aaron Gomez, Marco Morales, Oscar (Uviana) Sepulveda, Martin Morales, Ruby (John Andrew Carranco), Jonathan Gomez, Lucinda "Lucy" (Damian Creasy), Nathaniel (Felicia) Sepulveda, Matthew (Vanessa)Padron, Vanessa Gomez, Valerie Gomez; and her 24 great-grandchildren: Brian & Kristen Salinas, Dagoberto Tijerina, Diego, Cristian, Aldo & Sebastian Mata, Juliani Sepulveda, Haley & Avery Sepulveda, Olivia & Caroline Sepulveda, Isaiah, Elianna, Micah, & Zachariah Garza, Bailey & Owen Carranco, Ezra Padron, Tobias & Audrina Morales, and Daniel "Danny", Amber, & Esteban Morales.
Anna Gomez was a faithful member of Greater Life Tabernacle in Edinburg, TX since 1988 for 32 years. As a member, she served many years at her local church as a Sunday School teacher, and attended 4 years, completed and graduated from her local church Bible College classes.
She left behind a wonderful legacy in each of her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending church and she also enjoyed visits from her family, friends and from all that knew her. She lived her life serving others, but most importantly serving God.
