"Suffering is largely a mystery. No one but God knows why your child and not another. But no matter what God’s good purposes are, be assured that your precious child’s death is not a punishment from God. In Christ, there is no condemnation for you. God is totally for you. And for your child. One day you will see the beauty that God brought from her brief life. This child’s life, however brief, was full of meaning and purpose. While we cannot understand why it was shorter than others, we can know that it was just as valuable in the eyes of God." John Piper
Riley was born on April 30,2012. She was petite, shy (to strangers), determined and full of joy. She was just a happy sweet little girl. She enjoyed drawing, riding her scooter, traveling with her family, tee-ball and going to school. She was smart, obedient and kind. She enjoyed doing things for others including giving gifts. Trolls were her favorite characters / movie, specifically Princess Poppy. Riley loved to sing and dance and her preferred genre of music was anything "hyper" and "loud". Riley's best friend was her big sister Reagan. Riley's journey was suddenly and unexpectedly ended on March 15, 2019 after a brief battle with strep which led to sepsis and multiple organ failure. After she passed her little sister, Brooklyn, was born. Our hearts ache that they never got to meet each other. Riley is missed beyond what words can articulate. Our hearts groan daily as we anticipate our reunion with our daughter. We look forward to the day when "all things will be made new". Come Lord Jesus.
Matt. 19:14
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven"
Rev. 21:5
And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
Rev. 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
