Born in Athens, C.J. was the son of the late Robert Jones Mason and Bertha Lee Thompson Mason. He married the love of his life Mary Nell in 1967. And had three beautiful children. Clifton Jones Mason Jr. , Robert Lanier Mason and Tawana Michelle Mason Sharpton. He worked for UPS for 32 years. Known as “Roadmaster” to his fellow trucking family. C.J. was a proud husband and father. C.J. retired in 1998. He loved spending time on the lake with family and friends teaching everyone who came around to ski and enjoy all the fun lake activities. C.J. Always wanted everyone to have a good time and feel at home when they visited the lake house. He was a member of the Anderson Classic Car Club and loved spending time restoring and sharing his classic cars and attending car shows. On any given day when the sun was shining, you could find him on his dock soaking up the sun and sharing jokes with all who surrounded him. Anyone who knew C.J. knew he always had a smile on his face and at any given opportunity would dance his way into your heart. Now he is dancing on the streets of gold.
