Ryan Joseph O’Malley, 41, of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away suddenly on Sunday April 3rd 2022 after going into cardiac arrest at his home.
Born June 21st, 1980 in Saint Paul, MN, Ryan was the oldest son of Cynthia Marie (Mudzinski) and Joseph Richard O’Malley of Woodbury, MN. Ryan grew up along side his younger brothers, Nick and David.
After graduating from Woodbury High School in 1999, he went on to become a sprinkler fitter journeyman and was a proud member of the Local 417 Union.
In his spare time Ryan enjoyed playing semipro football. He played for both the Oakdale Outlaws and the Minnesota Phoenix. He also enjoyed powerlifting and competed in several competitions.
In 2005 he met Annette Marie Schaffer at a local dive bar called Beer Bellys. Ryan and Anne married on July 7th, 2007 and went on to have three beautiful children. Ethan Joseph, McCoy Alexander, & McKayla Amaryllis.
