Teresa Sanchez
We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life, we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
Teresa was born on January 11, 1944 in Monte Escobedo Zacatecas to Eluterio Solis and Maria Dorado. The age of 14 she met her future husband Valentin and they were married on September 12, 1964. They settled in San Gabriel, California in 1969. And for over 50 years they made a life full of love, raising four children 1 daughter and 3 sons. She was always known for her devotion to her family, her home was always spotless and her kitchen always smelled of the most delicious meals. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, when from scratch she would make her famous the tamales, ensuring that everybody got in on the action. In her later years she really enjoyed her grandchildren all 11 of them and great-grandchildren and will always be remembered as Mami Tere.
