Life story
Adonis was the happiest little man. He was funny, silly, sweet, empathetic, caring, loving, enthusiastic and just an amazing kid. Everyone that met him would always say wow He talks like a little man I almost forgot I was talking to a child. Since birth Adonis struggle alot with his health. He was born with his intestines outside of his abdomen. His journey began coming out through a emergency c section. 4 hours after He was born he was rushed into his first surgery. He then went to nicu where we had to wait to see how he was going to do. As the days went by his belly started to distend and 5 days later he went for his second surgery at that point the surgeon noticed the intestines they put back into his abdomen were dead and had no blood flow so it had to be removed and Adonis was left with 28 cm on intestines and they placed a peg tube. In order for a child to survive they need at least 100 cm of intestines. At this point he was now diagnosed with short bowel syndrome. After 1 month in nice they transfered us to the childrens unit and we stayed there for a month he was then transfered to miami for a transplant evaluation. The doctors ran all kinds of tests for 2 weeks and decided he qualified for a S.T.E.P. procedure which is lengthening of the bowel. We got sent home finally on valentine's day of 2011 and went home for the first time on ivs and g tube feeds. He didn't last home for very long After 4 days he ended up getting a fever and got admitted again. This is pretty much how his entre life continue surgery after surgery line after line but it never help him back he was always smiling ever since he was born. I prayed so hard to have a happy baby and God gave me exactly that and beautiful baby boy that could light up a room with his smile. Adonis had the step procederé when he was 3 months old. He had a five organ transplant when he was 2 ptld and went through 8 months of chemo when he was 6 then had another 5 organ transplant when he was 7
