Life story

Rev. Jay Brady was born on August 18, 1947 to Ana Mae and Clifford Tip Brady. He was raised in Morristown and worked very hard on a coal yard as a kid and young man. He was saved at a young age in a small Missionary Baptist Church in Mosheim. Jay testified often about his salvation and how real it was to him.

Jay met and married his sweetheart Wanda in October of 1965. They were blessed with four children and their spouse’s Lesia (Chris) Missy (Ricky) David (Margaret) and Vicky (Michael). He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. His love for his family was overwhelming with pride for them all. And his smile would light up the room when he was with his family.

Jay worked many hours at Shelby Williams to provide a beautiful home for his family filled with laughter, and lots of love.

In 1972 the Lord called Jay to preach the gospel. After Pastoring many Churches throughout Jay’s ministry, The Lord spoke to Jay to build Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church which he pastored for 27 years. His love for the Lord was great and everyone that knew Jay also knew he loved the Lord. He led many souls to Christ thru his prayers, and preaching the Gospel.

Jay loved fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers but most of all spending quality time with his cherished family.

John 3:16 KJV

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever shall believe in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.
