Last time I saw you
April before Leia was born. Still looked like twins this old. Wish I saw you after this
Charles (Chuck) Gilbert Humbert, 23, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2023, in Waycross, Georgia.
Chuck was born on August 2, 1999, in Greeley, Colorado. Chuck graduated from High School in 2018 in Fountain, Colorado.
Chuck loved so many things in life. He had a strong passion for fishing, often spending most of his time in the waters -- whether the Colorado lakes catching trout with his dad or the rivers of Nebraska catching catfish in the dead of night. In high school, he was known for his love of music. If he was not with his friends and family, he was out on the field with his tuba in sync with his marching band family.
Chuck had such a loving nature, always making sure to put a smile on the faces of those around him. His loved ones will remember him for his outgoing personality and wicked sense of humor. He was always the life of the party, goofing off, playing pranks, and uplifting other people.
Chuck had so much love to give. One of the biggest pieces of his heart was his daughter Leia Humbert. Chuck was a devoted, proud father who greatly loved his daughter.
Chuck had recently moved to Waycross, Georgia, to begin the next chapter of his life. He was employed at the Ware State Prison as a Correctional Officer, constantly reiterating how much he enjoyed his new profession and the family and friends he had made there.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Destiny Humbert, along with his daughter Leia Humbert; his parents, Chuck and Karlyn Hampton; his brother Joseph David Humbert; his sisters, Heaven Elizabeth Boyer, Karlyn Faith Humbert, Destiny Hope Humbert, and Haleigh Grace Humbert; his grandparents Ed and Norma Humbert; his grandparents Mike and Beckie Stewart. Also survived by extensive family and friends.
