Life story

Our earth angel, Daisy Galicia Marquez was called home on her 29th birthday, Friday November 4, 2022.

Daisy was born on November 4, 1993 in Visalia, CA to Chuck and Vicky Galicia. Though her time spent with us was far too short, her impact on the lives of those she loved and the light that she left in the world will illuminate forevermore in her beautiful afterglow. Daisy lived a beautiful and full life. She spent her days laughing and smiling, she lit up any room she was in. Daisy lived a life full of joy, happiness, purpose, drive, excitement, wonder and love. Daisy, had a bubbly personality and loved to connect with people, she had a heart to serve and give, which led her into her career as a real estate professional for over 5+ years. Daisy became a licensed real estate agent June of 2021, which was a huge goal of hers.

Daisy had the most beautiful, special, precious, rare love that people dream of and many do not get in this lifetime with her soul mate, Anjel Marquez. Daisy and Anjel began their forever on May 7, 2015, Anjel proposed to Daisy while they were vacationing in Mexico in February of 2020, they had a civil wedding on September 12, 2020. they recently had their dream destination wedding in Mexico, earlier this year, on their dating anniversary, May 7, 2022 and were surrounded by their family and friends. Together Daisy and Anjel have two fur babies, a bull terrier named Chappie and a yorkie, named Yolandi (both named after their favorite movie Chappie).

Daisy enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, whether it be in state or internationally and loved going on adventures big or small, she loved to experience all of life's wonder and beauty and did so with a happy heart and excited spirit.

A few of Daisy's favorites include, tacos, Hot Cheetos, Pepsi (canned only), all things pink, Daisy flowers (of course), all living creatures but especially goats, Bad Bunny, and her most recent and new found obsession; PLANTS! Daisy, was a plant mom to nearly 45 plants.

Daisy is survived by her loving husband, Anjel Marquez, her parents, Chuck and Vicky Galicia, her sisters Misty and Annika Galicia, many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and the community she was a part of. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Ramon Arreguin Madrigal, her maternal uncle, Ramon Arreguin Jiron, her paternal grandparents Florentino and Consuelo Galicia.

Daisy was a bright beautiful light in a dim world and greatly loved by all who knew her. Daisy radiated light and all things good, her light beamed in all she was, all that she did, and poured into all who she loved, and those she touched with her beautiful smile and spirit.

Her light and beautiful memory will live on in the heart and minds of everyone she loved and all who loved her, as well as those she reached but never met with her beautiful smile and spirit. May her gentle and beautiful soul and the memories she leaves behind bring you an ever glow.

My life-enhancing friend

My beautiful sweet friend- there will never be enough words to express how much I miss her or how special she was and how much her friendship meant to me. Daisy, was beautiful- from the outside in. She was a sweet soul with a beautiful heart and had a light in her that radiated in all that she was. She left people better than she found them, she loved people- and you can just feel it in the way she was so present and caring- and was genuine and authentic in her love, she had such a special relationship with all the people in her life. Even in death, she has left an afterglow. She was the greatest friend, the best person, she was a good person, a kind person. To know her was to love her. Her smile was so bright and her laugh- oh my gosh she had the best laugh it was SO contagious- I can hear it now so vividly in my head as I’m typing this- I’m so glad I caught it on video so many times. If you shared a laugh with Daisy, you were lucky! The energy in the room was electric and filled your heart with joy. She sparkled in the sunlight and glowed in the dark. She was definitely a beautiful light that lit up a too dim world, when she left a part of my life dimmed. She was so bright down here, I can only imagine how much she is illuminating the heavens right now. Heaven is better because of her but Earth is not the same without her. It’s been nearly two years and the pain and void in my heart just get deeper to a place that’s hard to heal, I will never understand- I get angry when I try to but through the deep deep heartache- and through grief, I’ve learned that love goes hand in hand with grief and with that love, and the love I had for her and the love that she had for me- I remember her- I remember her in all her beauty and light and find gratitude in knowing that for 12+ years, I was blessed by her, she blessed my life forever, we had a beautiful friendship- they were short and it wasn’t long enough- we had a lifetime to go but they were filled with so many memories, love and laughter so much laughter and for that I am grateful- I will always carry that with me. She definitely took a piece of my heart with her when she left, but she left a piece of her light with me and I always find it when it gets dark. D, I miss you something fierce girl. I’m still waiting for you to come back from Mexico.. I’m so thankful that we never ever missed an opportunity to tell each other how much we loved each other, or never failed to give each other hugs- you were so special to me. I will cherish our friendship forever and carry you in my heart forever D. I miss you on my hard days and wish you were here.. I thank you on my good days but still wish you were here… It brings me peace knowing you’re up there watching over me, and all of us. My beautiful sweet angel friend. I love you more. MWAH 💋 “The light that you left me will everglow” 💛
