Ryan Kenneth Massey
"To know Ryan, was to love Ryan"
Ryan Kenneth Massey, born January 2nd, 2003 passed away in a motorcycle accident at the young age of 20 on September 3rd, 2023. Ryan was the son of Rick Massey and Amy Summers, brother of Alexandria Massey, grandson of Charles and Sharon Carr (paternal) and Ken and Lynda Summers (maternal), and a phenomenal friend to many. Ryan graduated Russellville High School in 2021 and studied at the United Institute of Welding in Pottsville, AR.
Ryan was the real deal—a loyal friend who had your back in both the epic and the not-so-glamorous moments. He lived like every day like it was his last, soaking in every second. He was a lover and fighter, always standing up for the people he cared about. If Ryan Massey loved you, it meant to be completely and utterly loved with no expectations of anything in return.
Ryan had a heart of gold, always ready to give you the shirt off his back or the last penny in his pocket. Ryan loved his friends and family unconditionally, and always smiled at a stranger. During his short life, his family watched him become a caring, compassionate man with a bright future ahead of him. His goal in life was to take care of his mother, and to give her to best life possible. Let's not forget those fur babies of his, Darcie and Roxanne. Those dogs weren't just pets; they were family.
Now, talking about Ryan's style – the guy was a fashion icon in his own right. I mean, he loved to dress up for any occasion, and shopping for clothes was practically a sport for him. You'd catch him in the slickest outfits, always rocking that unique Ryan flair. It wasn't just about the clothes; it was a statement, a part of who he was.
And, oh man, his love for wheels! Ryan was a gearhead through and through. Whether he was tearing it up on his motorcycle, revving up some cars, or getting his kicks from racing, he had this passion for the road that was contagious. The sound of engines and the smell of burnt rubber – that was Ryan's symphony, his happy place.
Ryan had this knack for making every gathering, big or small, feel like a party. Heck, even at his grandfather's birthday dinner, a handful of Ryan's crew would roll up, turning a simple family affair into a lively get-together. His ability to turn any moment into a celebration was truly special.
It's these little details, the quirks and passions, that make Ryan's story so rich and colorful. He wasn't just a friend; he was a character, a force of nature, and someone you couldn't help but love being around. Those memories of him, dressed to the nines, revving up those engines, and sharing those contagious smiles, are the ones that will keep him alive in our hearts forever.
He was on a mission to make the world a better place, and its safe to say he did a pretty good job of it. Ryan left a mark on so many of us that's going to stick forever. There aren't words to say how much we loved—and still love—Ryan Kenneth Massey. Ryan left behind a community of people who loved him, and so many have grieved his passing; however, he also left an immense amount of memories and love that will never be forgotten or replaced.
"I prayed for a love like ours for the longest time before us, and I will continue to cherish the amazing love we had now that you're gone. I will continue to tell people how AMAZING you were and how you were my soul mate, and God showed me that in many ways. Maddie and Ryan, what a duo we were..." - Madison Southard
