“That the spirit of man passes triumphantly through the portals of death into everlasting life is one of the glorious messages given by Christ, our Redeemer. To Him this earthly career is but a day and it’s closing but the setting of life’s sun. Death, but a sleep, is followed by a glorious awakening in the morning of an eternal realm.” David O. McKay.
Harrison 'Harry' Tucker was born in Windsor Hospital NSW. He was raised to the age of 14 on the NSW Central Coast at Umina Beach. Here he lived a life full of fun and adventure. Surfing, swimming, bike and scooter riding. He delivered pamphlets around the streets to make some pocket money and frequently visited the corner store with friends. Family lived close and we enjoyed many special occasions together. In April of 2014 we moved to Tasmania where Harry enrolled in the local high school, Huonville High, as a year 8 student. Harry quickly made friends and had many positive associations with the Glen Huon Ward youth group. During his high school years, Harry had a part time job working at Franklin Marine. Here he worked on a boat, cleaning and boat mechanics. He would come home very grubby from his shifts but was always happy to be working and making money. Harry finished high school and moved on to Elizabeth College before becoming a builder's labourer. He particularly enjoyed working with wood and landscaping. Harry lived mainly in Hobart and its surrounds and, in 2021, made a move to Launceston for work opportunities. Since he was old enough to walk, Harry had a passion for anything mechanical. Cars and motorbikes were always a big draw card for him. He loved nothing more than to be on a dirt bike in the paddocks with his brother and sister. He always had a positive disposition, even when things were tough for him. He forgave freely and was a loving, caring friend, son, brother, grandson and uncle to many. He is missed every day.
