Welcome to our dads profile🩵

Our dad was the best dad we could have ever asked for. He had two children, one daughter Georgia Rene’ Faulkner (me) and one son Ulycess Trint Faulkner. I was named after my dad and my brother was named after our father’s dad.
Our dad was the most selfless, caring, kind hearted man and he loved like no other.
To know our dad was to love him. He would do anything for anyone without hesitation. Our dad was a simple country man who was known to wear a t-shirt and jeans, but if he was feeling fancy and wanted to dress up, you would find him wearing a pearl snap dress shirt with a bolo tie with a cowboy hat. He LOVED to watch westerns. He could recite any western and there were countless times my brother and I (his daughter) would find a western quiz online and ask our dad the questions on the quiz and he would ace them everytime. His favorite westerns were Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Andy Griffith Show, and John Wayne. But he enjoyed any western. Our dad enjoyed to fish, go on joy rides on a sunny day, and be with family. He also loved to cook, he made the world’s BEST chicken and dumplings and fried squash. Now that he is gone, my brother has taken on the role of making his chicken and dumplings and I usually will make the fried squash, it never tastes exactly like his, but we get pretty close. He was our biggest role model and we will always cherish his advice on life and jokes. After his passing, people said to my brother and I how much he loved us (his kids) and his grandson Myles. My dad was over the moon excited when he found out that I was pregnant with his first grandchild and that it was a boy! He immediately started to buy him fishing poles, hunting stuff, ect. He always called to check in on “his buddy” and always requested pictures of him. While people were telling us about how much our dad talked about us, they would say how he would follow up with talking about his grandson and that he was quick to pull out his cell phone to show pictures of his grandson. He was the most proudest PawPaw and he never failed to be the best PawPaw to my son and always spoiled him. Not a day goes by where I do not talk about my son’s PawPaw and how much he loves him. Our dad was also a great at maintenance and plumbing. He did alot of plumbing work around the moore county area for years and then he moved to Durham NC where he became head of maintenance and plumbing for the Durham Rescue Mission. He was very well known in that area when it came to the Mission, he loved to help others and was always a phone call away if there was someone or something in need. Everyone at the mission knew they could rely on him and he was very much respected. Our dads favorite drink was Mountain Dew and if he wanted a alcoholic beverage, his favorite was Busch Light. Our dad also loved horses, anything to do with a horse, he was all for it. He loved the scene of a horse with a kneeling cowboy at the cross. He collected quite a few items that had that scene on it. Our dad was a great christian man and never hesitate to let you know to pray about something and he very rarely missed a Sunday or Wednesday night service at church. Our dad also loved dream catchers and frogs. He had the biggest frog collection and when he moved to Durham he gave me most of his frog collection and over the years he started collecting dream catchers and I now have a love for frogs and dream catchers because of him. He also loved him some George Strait! His favorite song by Strait was “check yes or no” and that became mine and his song and now that is mine and my sons song that we sing on the daily. He also loved him Conway Twitty, my brother knows most of his songs by heart now.

We miss you so much dad, the world just is not the same without you in it. Losing you, we lost a piece of our hearts. Our days don’t get easier, just tolerable. You were our best friend, our rock, the jokster, the one to make us laugh, the one we could call to come fix things or to vent to. You are the epitome of a great dad and PawPaw. We love you so,so much and we are so thankful that we got to spend the years on earth with you that were given. Not a day goes by where we do not think of you or talk about you and the memories. We love and miss you daddy, continue to watch over us! 🩵
