Life story

Xangel Valentine Leppert-Jones, known to everyone as Xani, was born in Goshen, New York, on February 8, 2006. He was the son of Christina Leppert-Chavez and Lucas Jones. From an early age he was known for his heart of gold, always making people smile and making friends wherever he went.

Xani graduated from Pine Bush High School a year early, finishing in the summer of 2023, and was loved by his classmates and fellow students. He had just been accepted to NYU to study business. He planned to become an entrepreneur in marketing and music. He was a talented gamer and lyrical artist, and he loved working with his friends to make music.

Xani will be remembered for his outgoing, adventurous, no-fear, funny and sarcastic personality. He had a smile that lit up a room, and people gravitated to his dimpled grin. He was a protector of his siblings, cousins and friends, and he showed unconditional love to his whole family. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christina and Xavier Chavez, and his father and stepmother, Lucas Jones and Talashia Reynolds. He is also survived by his brothers Xavier (Tre), Xayne, Laiden and Blue, his sister Olivia, and many cousins.
