Keo Sam was born on December 11, 1984, in a Thailand refugee camp. His father is Chea Sam, and his mother is Soeurn Uy. Keo has seven siblings: Soeurth, Vannak, Sopheak, Sophy, Savoeurn, Savong, and Racin. He resided in various locations, including Richmond, VA (1984-1987), Cleveland, OH (1987-1989), Norwalk, CA (1990-1993), and Chesterfield, VA (1993-2021). Keo was an exceptionally humble and loving individual who prioritized his family above all else, particularly his mother, with whom he shared a profound bond that transcended life and death. He was a loyal friend to everyone and had a deep appreciation for movies, art, cuisine, nature, and travel. Keo cherished watching sunrises and sunsets, was fascinated by scientific knowledge, and enjoyed watching movies and listening to oldies and new music. He believed that problems could be resolved through love, learning, and hard work. Keo was an avid basketball player and excelled in baseball as a young pitcher, renowned for his curveball. He had a passion for mentoring younger individuals, particularly those in need of guidance, love, or attention. Keo would dedicate his undivided attention to those he helped, offering valuable advice and opinions that greatly benefited those around him. His laughter and wit were contagious, and his kindness was unwavering. Even in the most challenging moments, Keo's presence could brighten the atmosphere, and he would selflessly give to others without hesitation. His loss is devastating, and we deeply miss him, knowing that he now has a higher calling. We love you, Keo, and thank you for being an exemplary human being. We love you so much and miss you every single day.
