Adah Grace Krokonko
Adah Grace Krokonko was born in Westerville, Ohio on August 13, 2005 to Michael and Kelly (Greene) Krokonko. Adah passed away on July 7, 2022 to injuries sustained in a single-car auto accident. Adah will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her beautiful smile, and her love of animals and pets. In addition to her parents, Adah is greatly missed by her younger brother, Jacob. At the time of her passing, Adah was survived by her maternal grandparents, Karen (Greg) Litzinger and Gary (Patricia) Greene; paternal grandparents, Joseph (Linda) Krokonko; aunts and uncles, Kristy (Jeff) Miner, Kary (Peter) Perkovic, Joseph (Charlene) Krokonko, and Mark (Debragh) Krokonko; cousins, Benjamin, Emily, Anthony, Nicholas, Christian, Tyler, Hannah, Noah, Ryan and Kelsey.
Adah was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (Newark, Ohio) and an upcoming Junior at Licking Valley High School at the time of her death. She had a passion and natural talent as an artist and creative writer which inspired her to pursue an English major upon graduating from high school with the hope of becoming an English teacher. Adah was a caring and compassionate girl, who oftentimes was credited for bringing kids of differing social circles together. She was best described by one of her former teachers as a “connector of people”.
To honor Adah's love of life, her parents made a decision to donate her organs to worthy recipients through Lifeline of Ohio's donor program. This decision is something that Adah's family is very proud of, because they know it is exactly what she would have wanted them to do. In total, Adah gave the gift of life to four recipients through organ donation. To honor her memory, loving spirit, and love for her local community, the Adah Grace Krokonko Spirit of Life Scholarship was established through the Licking County Foundation's Scholarship Program. This annual scholarship opportunity is made available to graduating Licking Valley High School seniors who seek to continue their education through full-time or part-time educational programs at any accredited college, university, trade or technical school. More information related to this scholarship opportunity is available through the Licking County Foundation and Licking Valley High School Counseling Office.
