Born on July 31, 1918, during the World's Influenza Pandemic, to Mary Vivian Rebstein Ready and Thomas Michael Ready, in Watertown Wisconsin. His mother and father were stricken with Influenza and Baby Thomas Joseph was sent to live with his mothers family in Hubbleton, Wisconsin. Mary Rebstein Ready passed away in October of 1918, leaving his 3 month old son, whom I'm sure she was eager to watch grow. The Rebstein family adored little "Joe" as they decided to call him. He was raised by his Grandpa Joe and Grandma Nancy Resbtein, along with their children, Lucy, Joe and Frank for the first few years of his life. When his father remarried Ms. Julia McGrath Ready, Joe went to live with them in Richwood, Wisconsin. He then had two sisters, Carol and Julia and one brother Norbert. Brother Franklin died as an infant. They were very close siblings until they all departed this Earth. Norbie was the last to pass in August 2014.
Joe met Alma Nell, of Town of Emmet, because he was asked to drive her to school. They married on April 10, 1938 and had 8 children: Josephine May, Robert Paul Joseph, Nancy Carol Ann, Thomas Joseph, Vincent Joseph, Michael Joseph, Patrick Joseph and Carmel Mary.
