"Don't stand at my grave and cry. I'm not there I'm everywhere. I'm the little bumblebee buzzing by. I'm the shining star in the midnight sky. I want everyone to thrive. And be in your best behavior. My spirit is alive. I'm with our Lord and Savior. Please don't be sad. But take your time to grieve. I'm safe with my dad. And now I can breath. Keep me close to your heart. I hope memories of me make you smile. Even though we're apart. It's only going to be for a little while. And for the pain I went through. I still had such a good life. I owe it all to Andrew. For making me the happiest wife. Hold each other tight. This life we truly borrow. Say I love you and good night. There's no promise in tomorrow. Don't stand at my grave and cry. My spirit is alive. I did not die."
Life story

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful sister, wife, daughter, aunt, family, and friend, Brittany Kristine Myers (Romena). As most of you know, she had been battling a long and exhausting battle after receiving a Double Lung Transplant in March 2022. After endless hospital visits, doctor appointments, and long days and nights of struggling to breathe, Brittany remained determined and resilient to fight for her life. We are broken by this irreplaceable loss and will forever miss her.

Brittany fulfilled her dream of getting married to the love of her life, Andrew Myers, on August 18, 2023. It must be said that Andrew never left her side since day one and proved his unconditional love over and over again, and for that, the family will be forever grateful for him. During her final hospital visit, Brittany turned 31 on September 7th, the same age her father was when he left this earth. She frequently talked about her dad and how much she missed him and wanted to see him again.

Brittany was genuinely the most thoughtful and giving family and friend. There were no strangers in her world. Her love and passion for her family and friends was unmeasurable, faithful and sincere. She had a passion for gourmet cooking and often hosted family and friends at her home where she would showcase her cooking. From her crazy dancing and endless humor, to her boisterous sudden laughter (if you know, you know), and everything in between, her absence has left a void that cannot be filled. We will never forget so much of what she gave us to remember. There are simply not enough words to articulate Brittany in just a couple paragraphs, but to know her was to love her, and all that knew her have their own story and memory of the beautiful life she lived.

Turning Hearts medallion is dedicated to Brittany from her cousins Cece, Justin, April and Alyssa.

Missing you always, loving you forever.
