Geneine Elizabeth Bennett
She was a compassionate woman with a vibrant soul and a passionate love of the Lord.
Geneine Elizabeth Bennett, 70, of Apple Valley, California passed away peacefully June 14, 2018.
She was a compassionate woman with a vibrant soul and a passionate love of the Lord.
Born in Long Beach, California June 29, 1947, Geneine was the eldest child of Doris Elizabeth Schilling and Gene Allen Schilling, brothers, Gene Schilling the 2nd (Jackie), James Schilling, grandson Shawn Bennett and nephew Thomas Austin precede her in passing.
She is succeeded by her husband Robert Bennett, sister Helen Austin (Wendy), treasured children; Genena Kriewaldt, John W. Bennett, stepson John E. Bennett, stepsister Mona Bennett, daughter in-law Mary Bennett; Grandchildren, Danielle Kriewaldt, Matthew Bennett, Christian Bennett, Shain Bennett, great grandson Shaun Bennett, step grandchildren, Alex Lapenson, and Angela Apodaca; nephews, James Schilling and Steven Austin; nieces, Jamie Austin and Linsie Schilling; as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Growing up Geneine always wanted to be a princess. She loved to play with dolls, dressing them while listening to "someday my prince will come". She would always be dressed up for church with white gloves, laced hanky holding her small bible in one hand and offering in the other. Her little sister Helen, who she named Wendy, had a completely different look. She had been playing and was usually all messy. This is how it always was. Sometimes Wendy would say NeeNe don't be so old. They shared a room growing up. While Geneine's side was clean and all her clothes were picked up, Wendy's side had clothes everywhere, always a mess. One Easter Geneine had a big chocolate Easter bunny she was keeping nicely in its box. Wendy ate hers and proceeded to eat the back of Geneine's, so she couldn't tell. Even though they were opposites in many ways, they would grow up to be best friends.
Geneine enjoyed being with her Grandparents, Munsey, Babop and their friends. They were Christians and would volunteer to help at Church, Servicemen's Centers and holding banquets for the Blind. She grew up loving the Lord and was a devote Christian, always being of service. Head of VBS, Good News Clubs, teaching Sunday School, always telling Children about the Lord and serving Him.
Life's journey is always putting us in positions we never expected. When she was young she used to wear a clothes pin on her nose to make it smaller. Later she would be raising pigs, a bull, goats, chickens, boxers and she made sure her kids had room to ride horses. She loved her children so much they were always most important to her. Instead of growing up to be a Princess she was Queen of her castle and loved by all who met her.
She is now with her Lord and Savior in heaven, she was met with a party of family. Parents, grandparents, two brothers, grandson, brother in law and nephew.
What an amazing reception.
