Joslyn Morrison - Daddy's Angel
Today, thoughts of Joslyn have filled my heart and mind as our family prepares to dedicate The Comforter tomorrow. My heart is full—and at the same time, broken. JoJo was a bright light in this world. A soul full of innocence, curiosity, wit, kindness, and compassion. She could light up a room with her smile and fill it with love simply by being present. She loved yellow butterflies, drawing eyes with stunning detail, and laughing—loudly and often. She noticed the small things most of us missed, and she felt everything deeply. At her core was pure, unconditional love. If she saw someone sitting alone, she’d go sit beside them. That’s just who she was. 😊 Some of my favorite memories are of Joslyn sitting next to me—in the way only she would—snuggled in close, her head resting on my shoulder. I imagined that moment again today. I remembered how she’d squeeze my fingers so tightly it hurt… and in that moment of memory, I found myself giving my own hand a strong squeeze, just wanting to feel her again. And then, came that familiar heartstring tug—stronger than usual. A reminder of what someone once told me after Joslyn passed: “The pain of missing her is the price you pay for loving her so much.” To JoJo— You are loved. I pray you feel that every night. You are missed. I think of you every day. You are cherished. The way I live and love is deeply shaped by you. You are remembered. You will always be part of my life. JoJo—I love you.
