This day was one of my last memories with Clayton. This photo was taken on Colton's wedding. We all had an absolute blast and it is a memory I will cherish forever.
"I lived a good life" "Full send or no send" "Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten"
Clayton was a bright, loving, young and dumb country boy. He never met a stranger and would talk/make friends with any and everyone.
Clayton was born on March 15th 2002 in Wellington KS. He attended Clearwater school K-12. Clayton wanted to go into law enforcement and was working towards that goal. He worked at the El Dorado Correctional Facility alongside his two older brothers. He did leave a few months before his passing with intentions of going back.
When Clayton was 8 years old, he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, but that never slowed him down. He was proud of who he was and he wanted to help others with T1D. He went to diabetic camp every summer, and when he aged out of camp as a camper, he became a councilor. He never wanted anyone to struggle with T1D.
Clayton enjoyed many things in life and would go out of his way to make his life full. He would go bow hunting at 2am with friends and fish out his Hey Dude from the river. He would hype the student section at all the games and him, alongside his friends, would being the running of the flag to a tradition at Clearwater.
Nothing was more important to Clayton then his family. He would go out of his way to see everyone, make sure everyone is doing well, show up unexpected. He did everything for those he loved. He was the fourth of five siblings and loved every one of them.
Clayton's life was cut short due to a DUI driver on September 25th 2021. Since this tragic accident, the family has worked tirelessly to advocate against DUI and working to change the current laws, and supporting those with similar stories.
Clayton's memory will live on though his family, friends, and everyone he ever came in contact with.
