Elieene Louise Stone

Elieene as some of you may notice is spelled differently than most with this name. This spelling of her name is because as she said, "they screwed it up on the birth certificate. " Elieene was born in 1919 in Wilmington, Delaware, where she grew up to Charles and Ella Eberhart, and later moved to Elsmere, Delaware where she purchased a home after she got married to Dean Stone. They had four children together, Robert, William, Patricia, and Carole. She enjoyed being a mother and wife, and especially enjoyed being with her little brother Charles "Chez" and teaching him new things. She helped to raise her brother and helped to show him the ways of the world. Elieene loved to travel, going on cruises, to the beach and to Pennsylvania to visit with her brother and sister in law Betty. Grandmom as I called her, LOVED her family deeply. She was proud to watch her children grow and start families of their own. With each grandchild and great grandchild, her heart grew bigger and bigger. Later in life she resided in New Castle, Delaware with her granddaughter Dawn and her family. In her final days she was living in Bear, Delaware back with her daughters. Elieene is tremendously missed by everyone who came in contact with her. She was funny, witty, smart and just fun to be around. Each of us left behind hold a piece of her in our hearts.
