Ángel Méndez was born in Camden, New Jersey he is the baby of seven siblings. His devoted parents, Luis and Margarita; his loving siblings and their spouses; Luis, Catherine, Damarys, José, Awilda, Michael, Marlyn, Aaron, Lillian, Anthony Luz, and Ricardo; daughters Irene Angelina, and Angelica Iris; nieces and nephews Catarina, Cristiano, Ariana, Josiah, Christine, Andres, Adrian, Ricardo, AJ, Matthew, Amaris, Christoper, Lorenzo, Xavier and was preceded in death by nephew Isaac Luis 2015
