Kenneth Wayne Cormier
There is no way to sum up a life so well lived, but when I think about Kenneth this is what comes to mind:
Coveralls and a baseball cap, an early morning fishing trip and a Sunday afternoon drive with his wife. An adoring father and grandfather and a devoted Saints fan. He is larger than life yet always humble and kind. He is an oversized recliner and a good movie. A human jukebox and slow dance with his love. He is a Son of God and the answer to a prayer. Trips to Disney with family and Christmas all shiny and bright. He is a bag full of goodies after a 5 week hitch and a long distance call home. He is gentleness, kindness, faith, love and compassion. He is the Wizard of Oz, popcorn, a game of monopoly with his girls and a piece of chocolate when Mrs. Connie wasn't watching. A shed full of tools, a yard full of exotic chickens and a front porch rainy afternoon. He's a kiss and a hug for his sisters. To his brother Jamie he's a Saints game on a Sunday, building chicken pens and sheds with Howard and if Glen Floyd was cooking turtle don't get in his way. He is a world traveler and an oilfield hand. He is Gospel, Country, Rock and Roll and an Oldie but Goodie. He is John Wayne, Elvis and the man in black. Mrs. Connie's heart and soul and his daughter's hero. The giver of tight hugs and always up for a good foot rub. He's hen rice and gravy after a long time away, a beloved husband, daddy, poppy, brother and friend.
