Life story

On May 4, 1965, God gifted the world with a true Angel! Linda Poston was the third of four daughters of Robert Poston and Janet Loper-Poston and born in Salem, NJ.

With her Mother, Father and three sisters Luann, Lori & Lisa, Linda grew up in the same home her entire childhood located on Eighth Street in the heart of Salem. Throughout her childhood, she shared many memories with her family which became a close bond that remained her entire life!

From a very young age, Linda always knew how to make others feel very special and never afraid to let those close to her know what they meant to her. Her personality drew so many people close to her that resulted in developing friendships that lasted a lifetime!

From 1980 to 1984, while attending Salem High School in Salem, NJ, she met a gentleman by the name of Douglas Hogate of Elsinboro, NJ. Toward the end of her high school career, she developed a relationship with Doug that lasted beyond graduation. After a year of graduating, Linda and Doug married in April of 1985 at the Memorial Baptist Church in Salem, NJ.

The following February, on Valentine’s Day of 1986, Linda gave birth to her and Doug’s first son, Douglas Hogate, Jr.

Three years later, on May 27, 1989, Linda gave birth to her and Doug Sr.’s second son, Ryan Todd Hogate.

Then, on June 23, 1991, Linda gave birth to her and Doug Sr.’s third baby. Only this time, they welcomed a baby girl; Jenna Nicole Hogate.

Doug Jr., Ryan and Jenna were always much more than just Linda’s children. To her, the three of them were also referred to as her “3 Angels!”
